K-VentureBook
Korean companies, examined
before you are asked to trust them.
In Korea, a private company above a set size is audited once a year by an independent accounting firm, and the audit report is filed publicly with the Financial Supervisory Service. Those filings are real, and they are in Korean.
Companies that join VentureBook go further. They file with us every quarter, and an independent accounting firm reads those filings too — so their numbers are current, not a year old.
We read every filing against the original, and we publish what was checked alongside what could not be. No one here signs a grade. The accounting firm signs one sentence — that the figures submitted match the company’s own ledger. Anything beyond that is computed by a rule we publish, so the rule can be checked as well as the number. We do not rank companies, and we publish nothing we have not traced to a source.

Audited Companies
Korean private companies that fall under Korea’s statutory external audit, carrying the auditor’s own opinion exactly as filed — unqualified, qualified, adverse, or a disclaimer. We republish that opinion as filed. Nothing is added to it by hand. 38,947 audit reports collected so far.
Checked Against the Original
Every figure on a company record is traced back to the filing it came from, and the filing is linked. Where a figure could not be traced, the record says so in plain words.

Specialist ColumnsOpening with the site
Working notes from the accountants and industry specialists joining our panel, on what they actually look at when they read a Korean company’s books.
The work itself is published in Korean, and it is already running.
